Aqualandia: The Best Water Park in Italy

Encouraged by 2011 season’s excellent performance (increasing its visits of 17%) and the seventh award collected as best water park in Italy, Aqualandia keeps on following the path of innovation.

Scenographers and engineers worked tirelessly for the whole winter to set the Park ready to re-open on May 26th.

Shark Bay:  the real beach of Aqualandia, unique in its genre, hosts the first wave-pool of the world with white Caribbean sand inside and outside the water.

In 2012, this incredible area, will be further enlarged and enriched, with the aim to emphasize the feeling of being in Antigua or the Bahamas without the stress of a long plane trip.

Apocalypse 2012: 2012 is Mayan prophecy’s  year. With this new thematization,  Aqualandia’s 5 lane slide will transport guests directly into the age of Central American civilizations.

Totally revisited through the typical architecture of the Maya cities, the succession of ornamental structures ends with a magnificent portal surrounded by waterfalls. Apocalypse 2012 de-merges more and more Aqualandia from the standard concept of a water park approaching it to the theme park’s dimension.

Aqualandia’s entrance review is the result of its management research for higher standards of comfort and safety for their guests.

Technological requirements related to the introduction of the new system of domestic consumption through a special RFID wristbands, allowed to redesign the Park façade in order to offer a better service and facilitate the permanence of guests.

These assumptions made the occasion to develop a great project.

Perfectly integrated with the Florida Keys’ design style set along Aqualandia’s Main Street, the new entrance, is an architectural project divided between the impressive Art Nouveau pavillon recalling the typical North American railway stations, and Hamingway square with its fountain dedicated to the novel “The old man and the sea” to homage the famous American writer who spent a while in Fossalta di Piave transforming the access in Aqualandia into the beginning of  a real dream.
